Removing Categories from center of page

Hi

I came to realize that my conversion rate decreased since I have the subcategories in the center of "Category page"

In the homepage I don't have a problem since I have a nice flash there... http://noajewelry.com/

Example of a bad category page: http://noajewelry.com/larimar-jewelry-c-2.html

I want visitors to see the products already in the category page (If they want to navigate to a specific subcategory, they can use the left sidebar)

thanks!

You can turn that off here:

Admin - Configuration - Product Listing - Show SubCategories on Main Page while navigating

but then you won't have anything on that page.

Better, I think would be to keep those images, but make them larger and all the same size so they appear in a grid, and make sure your customers know that they are subcategories.

ok, thanks

I did it and as you said - there is now only an empty page - http://noajewelry.com/larimar-jewelry-c-2.html

Is there any way to put there products?
maybe:
Featured or
on sale or
specials or
Last updates or even
Bestsellers?

Thanks
