How to Remove Categories sidebox From product_info.php page?

I would like to know how can i remove the Categories box from product.info.php. To expand the page more better

for example:

How can i get the description, and shipping tabs like this:

Go into your template folder>>common and open tpl_main_page.php

all the instruction are in comments on how to disable left column

if not interested in reading then add this before red text

if ($current_page_base == 'product_info') {<br />
$flag_disable_left = true;<br />
}

$header_template = 'tpl_header.php';

Why wouldn't you shut off the columns in the Admin panel?

Because that would turn them off on every page, which is not what you asked about.

The <br /> are not supposed to be part of the code.

Thank you it did work now. But thing is the product pages width did not expand as i expected. how do i do that?

Your template has changed the one layout table in Zen Cart to divs, and presumably did this in a way that eliminated some standard operating mechanism. You should ask your template supplier how to fix this.

All you need to do is create a style sheet named product_info.css

place it inside you template folder css and add this code inside it

#navColumnOne {
display:none;
}

the remaining content will take over the page


Play with it long enough and you will break it.
