PHP Fatal error: 1146:Table 'zc150.configuration' doesn't exist

Trying a local install using XAMPP on Windows 7. Copied the ZC 1.50 Beta files into the c:/xampp/htdocs directory. Edited the configure.php files to include file access information and the (initially empty) database name and access information.

Pointed my browser at localhost/zc1.50_Beta1 and received the following message:

WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again.

The following was in a debug file:

[27-Jul-2011 08:56:36] PHP Fatal error:  1146:Table 'zc150.configuration' doesn't exist :: select configuration_key as cfgkey, configuration_value as cfgvalue

                                 from configuration in C:\xampp\htdocs\zc1.50_Beta1\includes\classes\db\mysql\query_factory.php on line 101

When I went to localhost/zc1.50_Beta1/zc_install the install proceeded (although I couldn't access the admin portion).

I just checked my XAMPP installation and it's running PHP v5.2.9 ... could this be part of the problem?

No, it's more likely to be the process that you followed. By creating both configure files and database, you fooled Zen Cart into thinking that it was a live site so it went looking for non-existent tables.

Better would be to delete the configure files and run the installer.

kuroi, thanks ... that was the problem (overfeeding the initial configure.php files with the database information).
