why won't my favicon work!!!

I have followed the instructions to the mark and read various threads but my favicon won't work!! Could some please give me a hand? I'm using the All Business themplate and my site is http://store.lakewooditsupport.co.uk/

works fine for me.

if it isn't working for you its possibly a cacheing issue

navigate to yoursite/favicon.ico in your browser that should add it to your cache so it works

I know this wont help - but might make you feel better - I have exactly the same problem. Uploaded favicon.ico, bookmarked (and the icon actually shows in the bookmark) cleared cache etc etc and still it doesn't change the tab icon.

let me know if you solve this and I'll do the same..

Seems this isnt unusual:

*Note: Browsers, particularly Internet Explorer, can be a little ‘temperamental’ when it comes to showing your new favicon successfully each time. If you do not see your new favicon try bookmarking your store, or adding to Favorites, and clearing your browser’s cache . And then sometimes, it just seems to take a while to ‘kick in’. Be patient *

i've cleared my browser, changed paths tried lots of different options but still my Favicon does not appear!

Works fine for me in IE and FireFox ...

Your favicon is loading fine for me. You shouldn't have to insert code, just drop it in the root of the store.

I don't have any problem with the images showing up in FF and Chrome. IE8 won't show it though. I have also uploaded an animated image to the root of mysite. I guesss I need insert the following code to some file but I have no idea which one.

Exactly. Zen Cart is doing all it needs to do. Don't go messing with inserting extra junk needlessly.
