[My Method] Multiple products with same "color" attribute images
A website I'm building for a client has a ton of products which have 3 colors (for now) to choose from for each product.
- I didn't want to upload the same 3 attribute images for over 50 products.
- I didn't want to edit the sql database using this solution
So I made
Option Name: Color Samples
Option Type: Read Only
Option Value: the <img src="" /> + color name
I increased products_options_values_name in the database from varchar(64) to varchar(300) to increase characters size for Color Samples option value input
Obviously this isn't the "best" solution, but it worked for me.
