Zen Cart Manual Valid for what version?

We were going to buy the Zen Cart and the question came up as to which version it was valid for? Has it been updated with any changes that might have been made? Will it be valid for the new 1.5 release or will a new version come out?

Thanks,
Anthony

The Zen Cart manual covers several areas - including installing Zen Cart and how to administer your shop from within the admin panel.

The changes made to Zen Cart itself are either to payment modules or to secure the coding.

So, in the main, the manual should remain relevant to your needs.

The contents of the 2ed of the manual is current with Zen Cart v1.3.9h which is the stable release at the time of this post. The book's TOC can be downloaded via a link on the front page of our website.

We have not decided whether to come up with a new manual (i.e. 3rd edition) or release an update to the book (i.e. in the form of a free PDF update). Everything will depend on when Zen Cart v1.5 is officially released and the impact of its changes to the book's contents.

Just would like to thank everyone for their replies. We purchased a manual today.
