What does it mean to backup my database and also how do i go about doing it?

I have logged into my website and it has asked me to clear the Admin Activity Log but before I do that it wants me to backup my database.

What does it mean to backup my database and also how do i go about doing it.

"Backing Up" means creating and downloading a copy of your DB to your local hard drive.

You can do this in cPanel or Plesk or similar. If you don't know how to create backups of your DB using cPanel, Plesk (whatever) you will need to contact your host and ask them for assistance.

Creating backups of your file system and your database should be a routine exercise for any shop owner.
