Re: SEO Web page Title, description and keyword editing

To edit the main page title, meta tags etc you need to do this via your ftp the file is located in includes/languages/english/meta_tags.php

To edit the categories meta tags you do this - go to the Admin -> Catalog -> Categories/Products once you're there..click on the meta tag icon (the last one to the right for any given category) and set your content.

Hope that helps.

Re: SEO Web page Title, description and keyword editing

I am having trouble with how Zen Cart is automatically adding text to my catalog title and catalog descriptions. For example I have a catalog SEO Title named Caddis. When I view the source code Zen Cart has added the following now looks like:

<title>Caddis : Tennessee Traditional Flies, The Art of Tying Traditional Flies</title>

The company name was added.

and the description has added the following and now looks like:

<meta name="description" content="Tennessee Traditional Flies : Caddis - Tying Material Fly Tying Tools Leaders Miscellaneous TTF Custom Leaders Flies Tippet Floatants Tools and Accessories Fly Boxes Maintenance Classes Entomology Supplies Fly Tying Recipes Fly Rods Reels and Accessories Fly Lines ecommerce, open source, shop, online shopping" />

It looks like catalog titles are being added.

Does anyone know what is causing this?

Follow the code:

Use the developer's tool kit to find the text that is being added that you don't want.

That should identify a statement such as:
Define('CAP_WORD', 'Defined here');

Then search for the all capitalized word that is identified. This last search should identify where that set of information is used, including where it is being joined. If desired/needed could simply delete the extra text.
