1.37 - UPS & International USPS Not working, help!

i am running 1.37 - for some reason, recently UPS and USPS International not working at all - not showing up in ESTIMATE SHIPPING.

Only domestic USPS works. When i try to ship USPS International, this is the error i get (it's not passing any values at all!):

You are using a very old version of Zen Cart and really should upgrade to the current v1.3.9h from our home page ...

and get the current January 2, 2011 version C of USPS and follow the instructions for this ...

It turns out that USPS takes in COUNTRY NAMES, and not COUNTRY CODES, archaic and illogical? Yes, siirrie! Amazing, who codes over there, community college dropouts?

For example, RUSSIA as a name works, but zencart had RUSSIAN FEDERATION in the database, and that didn't work, I had to change it!

Anyways, in /public_html/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php line:

'<Country>' . $this->countries[$order->delivery['country']['iso_code_2']] . '</Country>' .

has to be replaced with:

'<Country>' . $order->delivery['country']['title']. '</Country>' .

as you can see, it has to say title instead of iso_code_2 even though in the Zencart database the field name is NAME not TITLE

i would upgrade, but my zencart is highly customized and i am afraid it would take me forever to get everything working smoothly - i would upgrade in a second if the upgrade process was smooth, like in wordpress ...

ups doesn't show for me at all, even though it's enabled, i don't know why ....

What is the Ship to zip code and the iso_code_2 that you have on your Russia? :unsure:

my ups doesn't show up at all anywhere neither domestic nor international .... russia goes through as "russia" ... iso code is not accepted by usps

Go to your Zen Cart Admin and see what you have setup for the Locations / Taxes ... Countries ... and see what the settings are that you are using with Russia ... you cannot just make them up ...
