3 small problems with main page

I am using version 1.39h of Zen Cart and have installed the Flowers' free template. My website is: http://www.vividtovintage.com

I have 3 problems really.

The first problem is that the sideboxes on the right seem to be outside of the white border when I view it with IE 8 but they seem to be fine when I view it with Firefox. What could be causing that?

The second problem is the wide banner that I installed for the bottom of the front page. The white seems to go all of the way across on both sides of it. How do I fix that?

The third problem is that grey strip right above the footer that has the word and link "home" in it. I would like to get rid of the strip and the word and link. How do I go about doing that?

The third problem has been fixed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated for the other two problems.

OK, I got the second problem fixed and still have the first problem.
