image background for the define main page

I had this working a couple of times but when I try and edit the define main page it just drops the code for the background image. Can't figure why it worked a couple of times then just drops it.

Here is the code I'm trying to use in the define main page in the html editor

<div style="background-image: url("http://xxxxxxxxxx/images/parchment.png");">
<br />

I guess I should be using css for this but couldn't figure out what to edit for it

Best Regards,
Scott

Re: image background for the define main page

Better to do it in the stylesheet:

#indexDefault {background-image: url(../images/yourimage.jpg);

I can't find #indexDefault anywhere in the stylesheet. Do you mean for me to put that in? Wouldn't that make it a background for the whole page? I am just trying to get a background image for the area that the define main page area covers

Best Regards,
Scott
