Same look and feel for blog and shop

Hi,
I want to set up a blog using Wordpress 3.2.1 and a shop using Zen Cart 1.3.9. I don't want to integrate the blog in Zen Cart, like it is done with the WOZ-plugin. All I want is to provide the same look and feel for both parts of my page, so when people land on the blog and go from there to the shop, it should just seem to be still the same page.
So now I'm a complete newbie in both Zen Cart and Wordpress and don't know what's the best way to do this. Do I have to build 2 separate templates that get me my desired outcome? Are there ways to make a Wordpress template suitable for use as a Zen Cart template or the other way around? Or do I have to do this in a completely different way?
Cheers
Bengt

Basicly you build two templates that have the same look and feel.

Re: Same look and feel for blog and shop

Since there are thousands of excellent free Wordpess themes available, the way I've most often done this is to find one I like, install it, then use that as an example to style Zencart.

I recently embedded Wordpress in a Zencart site using the instructions and files on numinix's website (not WOZ) and it works well once you get past the fact that the instructions were written to cover several possible situations, so they aren't as clear as they could be.

I have done this, embedded the Wordpress in an Iframe on a define page/EZ page. I also have a link in the footer which goes direct to the blog (which people will never use this link) so spiders can access it. I then have links in the footer of the Wordpress which direct back to the main site - This basically makes the spiders index the content and are able to crawl properly through the site and blog, which you wouldnt get it you simply embedded in an iframe without it.

Re: Same look and feel for blog and shop

Here's one I did:

This is a mockup of an existing site that I built in Zen Cart at my sandbox:

The blog I built in Wordpress for the existing site:

Wordpress has so many themes that I just picked one that required the least amount of editing.

The best way to learn is to try stuff. But, back it up first.
