Can we add additional Content pages?

Pardon my ignorance, I'm unfamiliar with Zen-Cart. I would like to be able to add content pages, company info, press releases, etc. Is this feature included out-of-the-box in Zen-Cart as the standard defaults?

I'm trying to help a client keep their existing Zen-Cart without having to integrate with Joomla.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Re: Can we add additional Content pages?

You can create new admin-editable pages using "define pages", and you can use "ez-pages" to enter HTML content.
Define pages need to have a number of new and edited files; use the About Us mod from Free Addons as a guide to make your own. There is a Define Page Generator mod in Free Addons (I haven't used it).
EZ-Pages do not have their own URL, but can be created and manipulated entirely in admin. They are very easy to make and use:)

Look at the tutorials for more information.

Re: Can we add additional Content pages?

I'm having a difficult time understanding the difference between EZ Pages and Define Pages.

You stated above that.... "EZ-Pages do not have their own URL, but can be created and manipulated entirely in admin."

But in admin "Configuration" and "Tools" you can specify whether you want the EZ Page to be in the Header, Sidebox, Footer.

Why is that? What do they mean Header, Sidebox, Footer if it never shows up on any pages?

Where does the page go?

If I wanted to create a "Videos" page, where would I create it? Do I need the aboutus addon mod or the Define Pages addon mod?

Re: Can we add additional Content pages?

Okay, well I've figured it out.

I couldn't get EZ Pages to work and couldn't understand why a test page wouldn't show up. Now I realize it was because I clicked the "Update" button at the bottom. The changes only took effect when I clicked the "Update" button at the top. Not sure why this is.

Re: Can we add additional Content pages?

Odd... either button should work.

The header/sidebox/footer choices at the top of the ez-page creation page specify where links to the ez-page should appear in menus. You also need to enable the menus in these locations so the links have a place to appear. The ez-page content always appears in the center content area.
