Can I duplicate my site into a test folder?

Is it possible to duplicate a zen cart install? What I want to do is have my main site open and an exact duplicate in a seperate folder to test new layouts and features etc.

yes its possible,

just copy your files, and database
then modify both configure.php files accordingly
