That is Cafepress' custom attributes code. It is irrelevant to Zen Cart; you need to use Zen Cart's native attributes system. They have a bunch of nice styling to get the look there, and it would take some customization of the ZC attributes code to do the same. Flexible Attributes in Free Addons can help with that.
