[duplicate] Shoppers Can Exceed MAX Quantity

If you add the item to the cart with different attributes you can exceed the MAX qty allowed. you can see this error live here:
http://www.algogensystems.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=81

Simply ad the item to your cart, return to the page change the attribute, ad to cart again, then you can change the qty in the cart for both items and order 10 instead of the max qty of 5 -although the attributes will be different you can still order more than 5.

Can anyone help fix this issue? thanks!

Re: [duplicate] Shoppers Can Exceed MAX Quantity

Could you check your setting on the Product for the:

Product Qty Min/Unit Mix:

If you have the Mix on, then it counts the Quantity for the Product regardless of the Attribute combination ...

If you have the Mix off, then it counts the Quantity for the Product per Attribute combination ...

Your right! Hmm, seems to work as intended now. Thanks for the help. I guess this was not a bug after all, just my lack of zen-cart knowledge.

Thanks!

Re: [duplicate] Shoppers Can Exceed MAX Quantity

Hi, my previous thread was closed, likely because i said it was resolved.

Here is how to see the issue:

Visit the item page: http://www.algogensystems.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=81

  1. Add the item to the cart with Attribute option 2 ( windows 7 32 bit) qty =1

  2. Go back to product page and add it again with Option3 ( windows 7 64 bit)

You can now change the QTY in the cart items to 5 and have a total of 10., thus exceeding the set Max qty allowed. Any fix for this?

Could you try the fix in this thread:
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=184398

Post #7 has a file you can download for the fix ...

See if that doesn't correct everything ...
