Website SLOOOOW

NO ARGUING AS TO THAT POINT!!!!

Just got another email from the hosting company:-

I apologize for the inconvenience we were able to confirm that your demo site was responding slowly. We reviewed the server and we restarted some services and things appear to be responding much better now. If you continue to experience problems please let us know, as we'd like to make sure we get this problem resolved.

Now it is loading in under a second!:D

:clap:THANKS FOR EVERYBODY'S HELP:clap:

Maybe its the DNS lookup slowing it down initially?? it loads in under 1 sec for me!!

Thanks for replying and testing it for me!

Re: Website SLOOOOW

Try clearing your browser as alot of the content will be cached on your own computer now. See how fast it loads from a fresh start.

Re: Website SLOOOOW

Seems to load ok (not great). You could try to monitor your hosting server load by adding the following code, usually in the footer area. This will help you gauge the amount of load or "use" of the server your Zen Cart site is hosted with. Poor hosting will bring higher numbers, good/fast hosting lower numbers.

<!-- Begin Server Load --> <?php //GET SERVER LOADS $loadresult = @exec('uptime'); preg_match("/averages?: ([0-9\.]+),[\s]+([0-9\.]+),[\s]+([0-9\.]+)/",$loadresult,$avgs); //GET SERVER UPTIME $uptime = explode(' up ', $loadresult); $uptime = explode(',', $uptime[1]); $uptime = $uptime[0].', '.$uptime[1]; $data .= "Server Load Averages $avgs[1], $avgs[2], $avgs[3]\n"; $data .= "Server Uptime $uptime"; echo $data; ?> <!-- End Server Load -->

This code will show some numbers similar to:
“Server Load Averages 0.53, 1.07, 1.06 Server Uptime 182 days, 12:45”

The numbers can be interpreted as:

  • during the last minute, the CPU was overloaded by 73% (1 CPU with 1.73 runnable processes, so that 0.73 processes had to wait for a turn)
  • during the last 5 minutes, the CPU was underloaded 50% (no processes had to wait for a turn)
  • during the last 15 minutes, the CPU was overloaded 698% (1 CPU with 7.98 runnable processes, so that 6.98 processes had to wait for a turn)
  • how long the server has been continuously running
  • time of request

Hope this helps.
