Products as attributes

Hi

Is there a way to make a a product that is already listed on your website, an Attribute Option Value?

For example:

On a laptop product page, at the bottom you will have as the Attribute name:

PLEASE CHOOSE

Accessories: LAPTOP BAG PINK
LAPTOP BAG BLUE

Software: MICROSOFT OFFICE 2010 PROFESSIONAL

So basically LAPTOP BAD PINK, etc, will be actual products already listed on my site with a model number.

Attributes are CHARACTERISTICS of products.

There is nothing preventing you from adding an attribute called "Computer Bag" and pricing it, but it will not "associate" with the real product of the same name - so you will not be able to apply typically product functions to it (stock control, special pricing, sales, discount coupons, etc).

It would be better to look at CROSS-SELL and UP-SELL modules for the purpose you are describing.
