blank page when upgrading the database from 1.3.8a to 1.3.8h

blank page when upgrading the database from 1.3.8a to 1.3.8h

After following the steps here:

zen-cart-v1.3.9h-full-fileset-10262010/docs/2.readme_how_to_upgrade.html

when clicking upgrade, I get a blank page.

Tried differed option from the forum:

  • rights for cache is 777
  • no error message in cache
  • no php error message on the server

Database seemed to be accessed ok:

http://domain.org/shop_new/zc_install/index.php?main_page=inspect

Previous Zen Cart™ Installation Found
Database appears to be Zen Cart™ v1.3.8
**

The most common cause of PHP errors is failed or incomplete FTP uploads.
