Featured products not showing on home page.

It's a live site. I could switch over late one night this weekend. Which file or files should I take a look at? Would the file structure have anything to do with it? Because the url changes from envirosolmedical.com to envirosomedical.com/zentcart when I click on home in the menu. Being a new zenner I am sure there is something I don't have right.

tpl_index_default.php is the file that prepares the center column output on your homepage, so looking at that, and perhaps posting it, would be a next step in diagnosing the problem.

I don't know where template_default/templates/tpl_index_default.php came from. I have only 2 themes I can choose from in admin. Classic and Theme453. I am not sure why template_default is in the file structure.

The /template_default/ folder holds the base versions of all template files. Custom templates only have their own copies of these files if they need to be different from default. /classic/ is an example of a custom template for guidance and troubleshooting, and is selected by default at installation time.

Your file seems okay at a glance. What happens if you enable new products for the main page? Do they show up?

No matter what I try to enable they don't show up. Same with New Products, Specials,...

Okay, then it's probably not to do with the featured/new/etc code, but with what works (or not) to call them.

Believe or not I am still trying to fix it. I am getting closer to fixing it.

The featured products still don't show up at http://envirosolmedical.com/

However they do show at http://envirosolmedical.com/~habjyfhm/zencart/index.php?main_page=index

Once again, if you are directly at envirosolmedical.com and then click on Home in the navigation it will load my home directory and the Featured Products will then show up on the Home page.

Any ideas?

The store is in both areas I believe; however, to be uniform I have just changed it...

Initially everything was created within zencart folder and I then uploaded my templates and images to it by filezilla. However; the site didn't display at all when live so I moved the folders and files (according to the directions under zencart help) within zencart to the root directory. I was then able to view the site, but it was missing feature product listing unless I clicked on the home navigation link, then it displayed the feature product listing in the centerbox (displays only under http://envirosolmedical.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=index not under http://envirosolmedical.com/index.php?main_page=index) This is why I don't have the configure.php files define('DIR_WS_CATALOG',/') throughout.

Where would be the best place to find paid help? I can't figure this out and I am willing to pay someone to fix this. I'm going mad! I have reinstalled many times.

You are using the domain to the root but then all of your links are going to:
/zencart

You need to determine if you site is in the root and should run from:
your domain or from your domain/zencart ...

Just today, my featured products ( http://lilyoftheeast.com )has stopped displaying on the home page.
Tried doing the suggestions from previous threads but haven't had much luck.

Your template is so totally customized that there is not one single element on your homepage that uses the standard Zen Cart structures or names. The "featured item" is supposed to be a slider of some sort, which apparently is not working. You really need to ask the vendor you got the template from how to fix it, as none of us likely has the time to unravel the unknown system you have.
