Currency problem - how do I enter my product prices in GBP?

I'm in the UK and when I'm adding my products the price is displaying in US dollars and then it displays on the website in UK pounds, so obviously it is then showing the wrong price.

How do I change the currency to UK pounds when adding products. I've got the country set to UK in configuration/my store.

Re: Currency problem - how do I enter my product prices in GBP?

In your ADMIN console, look under the Localization menu option, then select "Currencies".
Click on GB Pound (GBP) and open it to EDIT (righthand side of screen).

Title: GB Pound

Code: GBP

Symbol Left: £

Symbol Right: LEAVE THIS EMPTY

Decimal Point: .

Thousands Point: ,

Decimal Places: 2

Value: 1.00000000

Then (if this following bit shows), make the currency the DEFAULT currency:

_ Set as default (requires a manual update of currency values)

Then click UPDATE button.

THEN, you must run a CURRENCY UPDATE.

Click the UPDATE CURRENCIES button and wait (perhaps for 30 seconds or more).
