IE/Chrome problems with adding animated gif or swf file

Hi

I have implimented the suggestions in this thread and got an animated gif working with my file uploader but it did not work in i.e. or chrome.

Reading on, someone else had the same problem and used a .swf file instead and said it worked. I have done that but even the .swf file does not appear to work in i.e. or chrome

Any sugestions please

My page is here

Also in chrome the white box where your file link goes does not show?

And one last thing, somewhere in the thread it said that this would work only on products with attributes. My other products dont have attributes but it still shows when the add to cart button is clicked

Re: IE/Chrome problems with adding animated gif or swf file

Figured out one bit

"And one last thing, somewhere in the thread it said that this would work only on products with attributes. My other products dont have attributes but it still shows when the add to cart button is clicked "

That is that customers must login to add products to cart that have attributes

Is there a way to make these changes product specific so the gif or swf only appears on products using the file uploader?

Re: IE/Chrome problems with adding animated gif or swf file

Why would customers want / need to upload animated GIF or SWF files?

Re: IE/Chrome problems with adding animated gif or swf file

The customer is not uploading a swf or gif. The animation is needed when they click the add to cart to show that their file is uploading At present the page may just look frozen for several minutes

Check the page here

got it working in all but chrome now

Any ideas on chrome not showing the .swf would be much appreciated
