Setting up multiple attached images for a product with

I am using v1.3.9 No add-ons installed. Platform is win7. AppServer Apache 2.2.king on localhost to develope site.

I want to create a page that provides the same capability as the " attached images" procedure on the product page. I have several hundred items (jpg's) that I want to display with a check box. When checked the item is added to the shopping cart as one of the options selected by the customer.

I tried using the "Attached Images" process but there are too many images. Looked at Media Collections but I don't think there is enough room on the screen to accomodate the number of images. And the media process seems to be quite convoluted to do what I need done.

Has any one had experience in this area? It's probably staring me in the face. Thanks in advance for any help.
