prices become zero $0.00 when added to cart

Hello,

I have a major problem.
My website is
https://www.vetpro.com.au

If you add any of the behavourial products to the cart, you clearly see there is a price for each product but when added to the cart, it shows $0.00 is the price and total.
I have definetly double checked that these products are not sold free of charge.
It is actually happening with some of the products on the Worming category aswell.
Like Drontal Cat 4 tablets, Drontal worming suspensions,
but some of the other products, the prices and totals are fine and come up in the cart.

Its very weird and have tried everything to resolve. Searched through here, but nobody else had this problem.

I tried to retype the price and update, but still doesn't work.
Can anyone please help.

Weights is not an issue and I actually am having some other problems aswell, like
FLAT rate Shipping not working at all.
Have configured it but not showing.
I think these may be related.

What happens if you switch to the Classic Template to rule out template issues ...

have tried this, but have found a very slow and painful solution.
under the catalog dropdown, i choose product price manager, then go into eac product, edit, change the qty max to 0 and YES on the radio option.
dont really Understand why.
it will takeme an hour or so to fix it all.

what is more baffling is i have done all the right things about the flat rate shipping, however, it doesnt show on the cart.
when payment is processed it doesnt even take it into account.
so i am forced into shipping goods for free. very badindeed.

See if you have set a Zone on your Flat Rate ... and if you do not use weights, make sure in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... that 0 weight is defined to NOT mean Free Shipping ...

still no luck on the flat shipping price.
have made a zone and everything.

IF you added a Zone ... on the Zone Definition that you created what are the DETAILS set to for it?

1. What EXACT steps are required to re-create this exact same situation on a brand new clean uncustomized install of Zen Cart, with no products/zones/taxes/customers/orders/etc in it?

i think i mislead you a little bit.
im very sorry for this.
i just tested it and ok yes it does work ok, but its a little confusing as i dont get a subtotal with a shipping component until i register my details and pick the flat rate shipping.
however, if customer does not want to register their details and just wanna pay for their goods then paypal doesnt charge the flat rate shipping. would this be something i need to configure inside of paypal? or should i just force the customes to sign up to an accou t with us.

Try to go through the checkout and not the PayPal button on the shopping cart ...

yes, i can see the shipping when i click on checkout.
however, if i click on the paypal express button, it doesnt calculate any freight, is there a way to remove that paypal express button.

If you click the PayPal button it does not know the shipping yet ...

If you set the PayPal to show the shipping, by setting these two settings to NO you should see the shipping the 2nd time through:

Express Checkout: Select Cheapest Shipping Automatically
No

Express Checkout: Skip Payment Page
No

ok, i have figured it out. great.
one morw thing,
is there a way to have 2 different flat shipping rates.
ie, one without insurance and the other with insurance.

Flat Rate is just that ... a Flat Rate shipping charge ...

If you want to charge insurance you will have to customize the code ...

I believe there is an Insurance add on in the Free Software Add Ons, but I am not sure how much customizing, if any, you would need to do ...
