Generate report for listing all products in my store?

I need to go through every one of my items for sale and do some cleanup. A lot of them I'll work on the images, some I'm going to put on sale, some I might even delete and combine with other items. It's a hobby, so I'm just spending an hour or so a day on it and I want a way to track my work. What I want is a way to generate a report of all products I have in my store. Doesn't matter if they are active or not - I just want a file with a list of everything I've got for sale. If I can add a column with the name of the image or price or date added that would be cool, but not mandatory. I just want a checklist I can mark off as I go about my cleanup.

I just surfed through all the additional add-ons for ZC and didn't find anything that looked like it would work. There are lots of tools for looking at customers, and orders, and stock levels versus orders, but I'm looking for a way to generate a report as a text file, spreadsheet, anything external to ZC. I searched the forum for reports, products, all products list, and a bunch of searches like that with/without quotes but found nothing. Is there a tool for the job, or do I need to be doing this as some sort of SQL query (please don't say SQL - I'm treading water as it is.)

It's version 1.3.9h, a linux server, 350 items in the store, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses...

For starters, you can print off the pages in Reports > Products Viewed. This will give a list of all products and their ids (and how many times they have been viewed, which may not be relevant, but won't hurt).

Cool, it works. If I had a big store with thousands of items it would suck doing this with one page showing 20 items at a time, but I just copied/pasted all my items into a spreadsheet in just a couple of minutes. I can do my review, and then delete the item from the spreadsheet. I can sort by id, and that puts them in the order they were added to the store - a bonus!

I thank your country thanks you. (Except for that old man in the house by the corner - but really, what's HIS problem?)

Re: Generate report for listing all products in my store?

THANK YOU!!!!

I have been on that page so many times, and it never clicked. I just went in, changed the value to 50 and tried a new report. Then I went and looked at the other settings on that page - changed my category/product listing to 20 because it always bugged me to just see 10. I think I'm going to bump it to 25 because that looks like the most I can fit on a page without scrolling.

And then I saw the line for changing the # of manufacturers in the search box - I had it on the default of 3 and it always looked so weird. I made it 1 and got the pulldown and it looks spiffy!

I'm moving to a new host tonight so I'm going to play with the old one once it's locked up from prying eyes, see if I can figure out what all the other lines change.

Great.

If you're considering relocating your store to another host at some point, be sure to consider the recommended process: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=100
