My Shipping estimator does not work for guests / users not logged in

Hi,

I have the USPS, UPS, and Free Options shipping modules configured on vapenow.com.

When I have an item in the cart as a guest and try to estimate shipping, no quotes are returned; however, when I am logged in as a customer the estimator works fine.

I have already uninstalled and resinstalled all three modules.

I tested with flat rate, and that shows up in the estimator for guests.

Any advice? I'm stumped :frusty:

Thanks!

As a guest, did you try to add an address so that there is something to quote prices for in the shipping estimator?

Thanks for your reply Ajeh.

When the shipping estimator comes up, it asks for country, state, and zip. Given that it doesn't ask for an address, I didn't think that an address is required.

If an address is required, how might I implement things such that users are prompted for their address in the pop-up window when they click on the shipping estimate button?

Did you pick a Country, State and Zip code and hit Update to get a quote?

Yeah, I tried with both US and Canadian addresses multiple times, but no quotes were returned any of the times. :dontgetit:

Any ideas?

Thanks

What version of Zen Cart?

Clean Install or an Upgrade?

What shipping modules are installed?

Do you have Zones set on them?

Have you an URL that we could perhaps peek at?

On your Zone Definitions ... do you have the DETAILS set to specific Countries and States?

NOTE: you should upgrade to v1.3.9h as that is more current than v1.3.9g and not a difficult upgrade ...

I don't believe so. I've attached a screenshot of the US Zone Definition Details page and it is just sent to the country. I'm assuming that this could be causing the issue? How should I proceed?

Yeah, it's on our to do list -- been distracted with a site redesign.

Thanks

Re: My Shipping estimator does not work for guests / users not logged in

Could you first try turning off the SEO/rewrites ... does it work?

If not, try switching to the Classic Template ... does it work?

Turning of SEO/rewrites worked (using Seo Urls 3.0.0-beta1). Thanks for the suggestion Ajeh!

However, SEO URLs are very important to us so we can't have them turned off. Do you know of a way to configure things such that the shipping estimator and URL rewrites can live in happy harmony  ever after?

No clue ... I do not use SEO/rewrites so you will need to figure out what is being broken by it ...
