Adding a News Box On the Home Page

Hi all I am new here, this is the first website for me... Im building it for myself and learning as I go. I would like to add a "News" box on the home screen above featured products, I am certain there is a way but could anyone shed some light on this. I keep seeing where it says you can change it in the code or something like that but even that Im not sure how to do.

Thanks,

Heres a link to the page http://hangar9k.com/

You can code a box like that using HTML by editing includes/languages/english/html_includes/premium1a/define_main_page.php, either manually with an FTP program and a text editor or by using the Admin - Tools - Define Pages Editor.

Thanks,
I don't know anything as far as HTML goes so maybe using a template would be best can you recommend any?

Any help please anyone?

Sorry, but this is the Zencart support forum. We can't take the time to offer tutoring in basic HTML and CSS. There are any number of excellent tutorials on those subjects on the Web, like this one: http://www.w3schools.com/html/
