add-to-cart product specific page?

Hi,

I have both ZC product pages and external sales pages for the same products. I want to redirect the external sales pages for each product to the add-to-cart page for the product. Could anyone be so kind as to let me know if this is possible and how?

I created my first product page. When I click on add-to-cart, it takes me to an add to cart URL that seems to be general, so that it's not exclusively for that product.

Is there anyway to get the specific purchase page for each specific product?

I'm using version 1.3.9v of Zen Cart.

When I click add to cart on my site it goes to the shopping cart. Can you explain more clearly what you're trying to do?

If you mean the product info page, just navigate to a couple and check the URLs - the pattern will be apparent. I assume you're hard-coding the URL in your exterior pages.

I still don't understand how to do this. I think I am looking for the same solution as well.

I just have another external sales page, which I want to have a "Buy" button to. I want it to link directly to the shopping cart that already has 1 of the products in it. So, that when the customer clicks the Buy button on the external page, it will direct them tot the zencart page and immediately see the product in their cart and won't have to look at the product page again.

I'm still waiting to solve this problem, and it's key to my being to use affiliates in ZC. I'm looking to do the same as MVIP. I'll try to be as clear as possible, see if you can give me a hand.

I'm integrating Jxrox Affiliate program to ZC. But I also have sales pages in other websites that the affiliates will be using, so I have to be able to direct the sales to the shopping cart's URL for each unique product so that the affiliates get the sales recorded in ZC. The track would be like this:

1. Affiliate signs up at my Jrox affiliate site, which is integrated to ZC.
2. Affiliate sends clients to the sales page (out of my ZC store)
3. Client decides to purchas and clicks the buy button.
4. Client is taken to the shopping cart page for that product (NOT the description page, cause they already read the info and decided to buy).
5. Client purchases and affiliate gets the sale recorded (because the ZC is integrated to the Jrox, while the other sales pages are not).

This requires that I can copy/paste the specific URL for the shoppingcart page for EACH product. But all I get is a general shopping cart URL.

Any help with this?

The exact answer is in the thread mentioned in post #3 above. You just have to substitute your website address and the product id.
