All Products in Category Do Not Show Quantity Box

Hi there,

I don't think this questions has been asked yet...

I already set Products Quantity Box Shows: Yes for both products.
On each product page, it has the Add to Cart Quantity Box.

However, when I click one of the options under Categories, only the 2nd product shows the Quantity Box. The 1st one just says "... more info" (which brings you to the product page).

Can someone please advise me as to how I can also add the Add Quantity Box to the other product? The 2 product's have the same settings, and are in the same category, so I have no idea why one has the box and the other one doesn't.

Yes, that's what I thought. But yea the 2 products have the same quantity. This is really strange.

Maybe it has something to do with the attribute? I checked, but everything is same as the other product.

Was there ever a resolution to this?

I have the same thing happening on my site. Everything is cool in the actual product listing, but on the category page listing multiple products I have one product with "Add:" and a text box for order quantity and the rest have "... more info". My products all have the same properties. All have the same quantites, minimums, etc.

The products with "... more info" have attributes. Basically on each of these product you have to enter something into 2 different text boxes. The one with the "Add:" does not have this attribute. I have a suspicion this is causing the issue, but I can't figure out how to resolve it or override it.

I have resolved this. I was reading this thread and realized where my disconnect was. The product I have with the "ADD:" can be added to the cart at any time because it does not require additional information. The product displaying "...more info" acually requires MORE INFO!! There are (as I described) 2 text boxes that must be filled out. So it makes sense that the customer is forced to the product listing to add the item to the cart.

If you're simply having problems with the quantity text box I found this setting in config -> product listing:

"Display Multiple Products Qty Box Status and Set Button Location"

Sorry I didn't update this just because this case seemed really specific to my cart. I thought I messed something up with the coding. But I fixed this problem, and found that it wasn't that specific at all!

So, yes, you're right. The products that have attributes do not have the Quantity Box, but have the "More Info" one (for my case at least). I removed the attribute from the product and now it does have the Quantity Box.

As for the solution to overriding this and adding the Quantity Boxes to products with attributes, I have no clue (I'm a noob).
I think it would be difficult because it wouldn't really make sense to add the product to the cart, without choosing its attributes first. And that's why the customer would need to read about it, "More Info," before adding it to the cart.
