Footer disappeared in template change

I have been using the Smooth Green template for my site https://www.journalsandmore.com. I just switched the template to the Classic Contemporary Green.

Everything works great except that I can't get my footer to show. I copied the tpl_footer.php file from includes>templates>smooth_green>common to includes>templates>classic>common

No luck. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the help.

Re: Footer disappeared in template change

That is the footer at the bottom of the page.

Play with it long enough and you will break it.

Re: Footer disappeared in template change

Yes. At the bottom of the page. It appears on every page.

Re: Footer disappeared in template change

So you're saying that the footer should look different than what you have now? From your description, you should have your custom footer now (unless there were also other files beside tpl_footer.php involved in building it). Have you checked to make sure there were no errors in copying the file?
Can you post a copy of the file you want to be used?

Re: Footer disappeared in template change

Oh! Oh!

Looking through everything to respond to this reply, I discovered that I copied my file to the wrong includes>templates>classic folder.

It seems we learn more from trying to explain something than from just trying to do it.
