Cross-sell not displaying items.....

I have just installed a cross-sell module (http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=597) and it allows me to create the cross sell, but when I click on the items that are "linked" none of them appear.

For example on my site (https://www.bigdaddyleather.com) I have item #AL2421 linked to five other items but when you click on AL2421 none of the other linked items appear.

Have you installed the previous cross sell module as instructed. The 'advanced' is an add on to that.

There were several different cross sell add-ons. I have installed the module which was required for one of them to work. But none of the other cross sell add-ons worked I got error messages with all of them. This one was the only one that let me create the cross sells but doesn't display the items.

Here is a screen shot showing the the cross sell was created.

So far I have installed the Module Manager
Then I had attempted to install all of the following:

http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=1677

Both of these gave me errors, so then I installed:
http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=597

This is the current one I'm working with.

There should be a rule against using the same title in different addons because that is confusing.
If you are using the cross sell advanced module, then the module you are supposed to install first should be the "cross sell":
http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=76

The other ones you listed look like they are different modules completely, based on or spin-offs of the original.

And if the one you have is an add-on to the one I linked to, there's a good chance that you will have to uninstall the advanced one, install the other one, and then reinstall the advanced one. (I hope that was clear, I think I confused myself just writing it.) Good Luck!

Thanks for the input. I will uninstall all of the modules that I have installed and start fresh with the one that you linked to and see if it works.

I'm still trying to get the hang of Zen Cart and php. I'm from the old school era of HTML so it is tricky trying to learn of the php quirks.

So I installed the first cross-sell and everything appears to be installed properly but the cross-sell items still do not appear in the store. Not sure what is causing this.

Still waiting on any ideas anyone can offer up as a solution.....

Assuming you got both add-ons from the free add-on section - What exactly are the names of the two that you installed, and in what order? That may help narrow it down since the forums are full of threads on "cross-sell" but they can be talking about a half dozen different modules.

I uninstalled all previous versions of cross-sell as well as the module manager and installed this version:

So that is the only version that I have now. I figured I would try to get this working properly before upgrading to any of the other versions.

I did not upload the two "sample additions" files so they are not the problem.

Any ideas as to where I should be looking to find the glitch ?

UPDATE - FOUND MY ERROR !! -I forgot to rename admin file to the name I use for admin - silly me.
