Admin Order details showing twice with strange total

Zen Cart v1.3.9h fresh install with no upgrade
add ons include google analytics, site map, Facebook like button, aftersales email modules, back in stock notifications, editable sidebox, email archive manager, language translator, image handler, image manager, mail beez, newsletter subscribe, live multi, printble pricelist, snow javascript, UK shipping zones, uk shipping by postcode. These plugins were all installed way before the problems started and these same plugins are all installed on another version of Zen cart I have with no problems.

Theme changes but apart from that no other changes to the site.

The problem; when looking in the administrative section at order details the order number is showing twice, the top one showing the correct order total, the second is showing a smaller amount. It seems as though the order is taking the right amount of money, and showing it right to the customer and sending an email with the correct total so that is good. However, its confusing for people fulfilling orders. If the customer clicks the order email to see further details on the order, they get two subtotals, two shipping info, and two Totals. I have attached a screen shot of the admin area showing orders and also the details order information shown to the customer.

Any help on this would be REALLY appreciated, I am stuck and can't see any other posts on this topic. :no:

How about errors in your cache folder?

Ah yes I have noticed one, a problem with includes/reset_seo_cache.php it says 'No such file or directory in categories.php on line 19'
I haven't been able to find a reference to the same problem on the forum elsewhere. Is it worth posting the message here or would there be security risks? Do you think its related?

Reinstall the module, it is missing a file merge... related? I can't say, but fix errors first before troubleshooting things and you will sooner find the answer :smile:

Hi I installed the missing files, and ran a new text order. Good news is, No more error messages in the cache. but Bad news I still have the original problem with two orders showing unfortunately.

Do you have any other suggestions please?

Really? I have the same thing in another site and it hasn't created this problem...

Ok will delete it from template thank you:smile:

Ah I deleted the extra 'add to cart' button and it didn't make any difference, even with a test transaction.

Do you know what else may be causing this? Thank you

You need to track down what files were edited to accomplish the double cart button....

Can try swapping the template files with fresh ones.

I have tracked it down and removed it, but it didn't make a difference. I didn't think it would, because the same code is on pages in another install of zen cart I have, but in that website, we don't get the same problem with double emails showing.

It seems as if it's something else?

Hello, zen cart is same, php is different. One is PHP Version 5.2.17 (with problem) other is PHP Version 5.2.9 (without problem).

I have removed that script now though...
