Chosing a specific payment method if product is in shopping cart?

We are an outdoor sports store, including hunting and fishing.

We have two payment methods installed and working fine. For the convience of our customers one of the payment methods is PayPal Express.

What I am curious to know is,

If a customer places ammunition or a firearm in the shopping cart, can we disable the PayPal Express Pay option and only show the ONE single Payment Method?

Thanks.

Yes. You can write custom code to read the contents of the shopping cart and determine whether the product number matches one in a list you give it to check against, and disable the module if there's a match.

rlwertin, did you make any headway with that custom code? If so, would you be open to sharing it here?
