1.50 RC2 vs fast-and-easy-checkout addon?
I was tinkering around with the RC2 last night and was quite impressed. I had installed several useful mods as well as a template and was getting on quite nicely.
The issue started when I attempted to install the fast and easy Ajax checkout module, which is a module which I have installed several times without issue. The files were all added to there correct locations and i pasted the sql update into my db successfully. I noticed then when I went into my admin panel that the menu listing for this module had not appeared in the drop-down menu. I searched everywhere in-case it was in a different location but it was not. I though this strange as I have never had an issue with this mod previously and it has ben saved on my desktop since the last time I installed it. I thought id run the un-install sql and try re-installing but when attempting to re-install I received an error message, which I presume may be something to do with db entries still existing from the previous run.
I realise that this is a question for the module designed but I was just curious if the RC2 is in any way different to the latest stable release which could cause incompatibilities like this, or whether an sql update should run exactly the same on both the RC2 or stable release. I understand it is not yet classed as stable however usually a release candidate is quite a solid version ready for release. If there is a possibility that the module could be incompatible with the RC2 I will stick with the stable release for this build in-case a similar issue happens with another required module in the future.
