OK..this one seems weird to me..

I have v1.3.9 sophyblue, ckeditor
I have 5 categories in my category side box. Of those 5 different categories, two of them show "New Products for (month)" and "Featured Products" when you click on the category to see the product listings.

Yes, the product listing are there as they should be and the New and Featured products show up below.

I have chosen to show Featured Products on the main page only via the setting in admin -->config -->index listing.

In short, I would like to remove featured products from all pages except the index page and remove new products from every page.

I just don't get how it is showing up on some pages and not others???

In the categories that are not showing ( as an example ) featured products, do you actually have any featured products. Only the featured products of that category will show so if there are no featured products in that category the box won't show.

For the New Products - turn it off in your admin.

Yes, there are products in featured products. I did turn off new products in admin. This is why I'm confused as to why they are showing up in other pages besides the index page. Take a look...https://www.billrauscher.com. Featured products SHOULD be on the front page but when you click "boxes and More" under categories you will see featured and new products there...where its NOT supposed to be.

OK. Well featured products first. It seems to be working as it should.

If a category only has one product then the product listing is not shown on your store. So, the store goes straight to the product_info page of that single product. On all the pages that show a product listing (ie more than one product) the featured products are shown.

You can change this behaviour from admin so that the product listing is still shown for single product categories but it is not recommended.

Whether the center boxes appear on product_listing pages and the home page are set in admin>>configuration>>index listing. One setting for the home page. One setting for product listing. If that is not working the way it should then post again but people would need to know what your settings are.

If you have things turned off then there should be some zeros in there.

Thank you Niccol. That was an excellent explanation. I can't believe I missed it but all I had to do was change new/featured products - below product listing to 0 and I'm good to go!! I can't tell you how many times I went through the index listing and didn't see that.
