UK Legislation and Cookies?

The law was changed an hour before it was meant to be actioned to shift the onus to the user, not the website, as that any one using your site has 'implied consent' to use cookies.

Lets face it you would need to pretty stupid not to realise by now that every website worth visiting uses cookies of some description. Oh wait or a teenager thinking no one knows they're visiting that site again. lol

It's a bit like in the 70's and 80's when middle England complained that TV broadcasters "MADE" them watch filth.

Today I am trying something different. Read the install.txt Read the FAQ Read the forum for answers; Then Install the mod. ;-)

Re: UK Legislation and Cookies?

From what I can gather, a general Zen Cart store falls into Cat 1, so no need to declare cookies. Those of us that use Google or other Analytic scripts fall into Cat 2 and (or) Cat 3. So it is a simple text edit to your sites Terms and Conditions. So, no need for an 'opt in' script.

Or am I wrong?
otherwise, this looks like a good quick fix

I am unable to answer any private messages for any of the add-on's I am associated with. I have migrated to other cart systems so sadly cannot offer any assistance, all the best and I hope you get your query fixed soon!
