Custom Meta Tags + Default Details

Hi - I've searched the forum endlessly and can't seem to find anyone who wants to do this. I am trying to combine custom meta tags with the default details of any given product info - combined with these meta tags being set up automatically upon creation of a product.

  1. I want to have a meta tag as follows:

Custom Word Entry + Product Name + Another Custom Word Entry + Price.

The Custom Word will not be a custom word for each product, it will be the same for all products - and the same goes for Another Custom Word Entry.

  1. I want this to be default for every product - even new products that need still or will still be added in the future.

I'm currently using 1.3.9h - thanks!!

Re: Custom Meta Tags + Default Details

I'm sorry I forgot to include that this is specifically for the Product Info page Title. So I want this data to reflect in the Title of the Product Info page.

Re: Custom Meta Tags + Default Details

While this may be possible, it could "dilute" the impact of the Product Name as a desired keyword in the <title> tag, thus having an effect on your SEO.

We have found that SEO effort on product info pages' <title> tags should be geared towards popular search terms relating to that product, rather than as an "informational" sentence which often duplicates phrases, and thus diminishes the relevancy of the Product Name as a key-word/key-phrase.

The <title> tag still remains one of the more important meta tags for SEO, so keeping it very tightly focused and relevant is quite important.
