side box banner problems

I have a sidebox banner on the left hand side to click to get a free Irish Recipe. The link is working but the banner image isnt. The one shown is 100 x 80 with a ED x but the image that should go in there is uploaded OK and is 150 x 221. Do I need to go in somewhere and change the height and width to allow it to show.
Below this banner is the information window. How can I get rid of all the red x's to the left hand side of each button ?
