Simpler way:

delete the zen-cart-v150-full-release-1230201 folder from the server
now your catalog folder should be empty, right?
so, now upload the files-and-folders from the zen-cart-v150-full-release-1230201 folder on your PC to the catalog folder on the server
run sitename.com/catalog/zc_install

I tried that early on thinking it would work. It brought me to a page with:

Parent Directory -> Took me to my regular site
zen-cart-v150-full-release-1230201 -> Just hung there

I tried that, removing the 'zen-cart-v150-full-release-1230201' It just showed a header.

Anyway... I've been messing with this long enough, and not even treading water, I've been working with with osCommerce also. I have it up, and all coded properly, I even have the theme color I wanted. It was up and running well, not perfectly on initial install. After a little debugging.. I've tried it, have had friends try it... no errors or warnings yet. I thought they were close to the same..or close, but the latter installed and worked much easier and faster.
