how do i add a template?

hi, i am trying to start with zen-cart. its installed and there is only one template in the admin panel. I have been trying for hours and hours to just install another template. How do you do this? I downloaded the template to my hard drive and I just dont know where, how or what to upload. Please help....

After you unzip the downloaded file, you should see a readme file in the contents. That should have directions for installing. Simple templates can just have their /includes/ folder uploaded to your live site's root (like /public_html/ or /zencart/ or /shop/, wherever the ZC folders are sitting). More complex ones may need you to copy & paste some SQL statements in admin > Tools > Install SQL Patches.

Do you have an FTP client like Filezilla yet? If not, you need some means of using FTP to upload the template files.
