Usps shipping udate problems

Just downloaded the usps update. followed the directions and uninstalled the old usps rates put the new usps files in the langauges/enlgish/modules/ shipping and modules/shipping folders and when I go to install I get this error message: USPS shipping module is either missing the username, or it is set to TEST rather than PRODUCTION and will not work. It is set to production so I don't know what the problem is. Just made a dummy international order and still no international first class. HELP

First, go to the Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ... and in the bottom input box enter:
usps.php

and select Catalog and click SEARCH ...

Do you get the version id for:

• @version $Id: usps.php 18348F 2012-01-22 01:22:00Z ajeh $

on both files?

Next, go to the Modules ... Shipping ... and click on USPS and EDIT ...

Do you have the USER ID entered?

I do have my user id entered, but when I do the search these are the two files that pop up

You do not have the January 22, 2012 USPS shipping module installed ...

I did that. I'm starting to think this is an ftp problem

Okay this is insane. I deleted the two files usps.php from both the remote server and my hardrive. Then I went into modules and removed the usps as I was instructed. I then downloaded the usps update files that you linked above. I installed them where the directions said to and then went to the shipping module in my zencart hit install. After installing it I went to the developer tool kits did the search again and still got the the files dated from 2006 and 2011. Both of which I had deleted. How is that possible?

I have gone through these steps like 5 times and everytime get the same results. I don't understand what I am doing wrong. I placed the files exactly where I was supposed to and when I do the search afterwards the old files still show up. I deleted both of these files so I don't understand how this can be happening

It sounds like you are removing them from the wrong site and loading them to the wrong site ...

Are you sure your FTP is pointing to the right domain/directories ... :unsure:

Look on the server with your FTP program at the directory:
/includes/modules/shipping

do you have backup files there or old files renamed to something else?

Got it sorted. However now 1st class international won't show up in the customers cart even though it is selected in the module. Any tips?
