Trying to change title of Flat Rate shipping

I am trying to change the Title that shows up when checking out that says "Flat Rate" and "Best Way" on the flat rate shipping module.
I followed the directions given on this post

It shows up how I want it too, with the flat rate and best way changed to what I want them to say, however when you click Continue. It just hangs on a blank page. Nothing happens, it does not go to the next page in the process of checking out.

Here is the weird thing. IF I change it BACK to the original words and upload it. It does the exact same thing. Just hangs there on a blank page.

I am VERY familiar with php and I know the first question is "did you leave all the commas, brackets etc" yes. I did not change anything. There are no special characters in the words I want to use which is change Flat Rate to CSRA Shipping and Best Way to Delivery Fee

So as you can see no comma's etc are added in or taken away. Nothing within the php page is changed.

The page being changed is
includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/flat.php

I have placed it in my templates folder but have also removed that folder and placed it in the main folder (i know it is a no no I was just testing) and I got the same results.

1.3.9 version using the following modules
backup_zc_v1.0.7
search_configuration_keys_1-3
Tabbed Products Pro v1.07
ups_xml_1-3

Any ideas?

Any error log files in your /cache folder ?

Sounds like you may have added an extra line or character when you edited the file.

OK I work with php for a living (well almost) and that is the NUMBER ONE thing you always check... Guess what... I didn't.
