Snaf

Well, I just downloaded and extracted it fine. Pretty sure it is not corrupt.

As I said, I can't comment on issues with windows as I don't use it. You'll have to wait and see if any windows users can advise you.

JenniferXO:

I downloaded the file 3 times. I'm fairly certain the file is corrupt. Perhaps a recent development. Is there an alternative download location?

Re: Snaf

I can download/extract v1.0 and v1.1 without issue. v1.2 gives me the problem.

Were you using Windows "built-in" un-zipping functions??? If so that's the issue..

Re: Snaf

Yes, that and an older version of Winrar. Upgraded Winrar or 7zip does the trick. Thanks for the help!

Re: Snaf

Hello,

Great mod! I was wondering how I style the product listings if I have this installed over the Flexible Listings mod. I am trying to get all the info on the same line but even when I delete the entire stylesheet.css in Firebug there is still a break after each field. Is there a column width field in the CSS? Or maybe I need to edit the product_listing or template file to style the product listings?

To see my issue:
http://hiphopbeatz.com/2014/index.php?main_page=products_all

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Snaf

Really, you need to edit the product_listing.php file to get rid of the breaks in there if that is what you require.

But you could try this in a stylesheet and see what it gives you ( it just stops the br tags from being active in the innerColumns so may not be a great idea ... )

.innerColumn br{
display:none;
}

This is really a Zen question rather than a SNAF question as thos breaks are coming from Zen code so if you continue to experience difficulties then you might like to open a new thread.

Re: Snaf

Thanks. I was more curious about when I switch from rows to columns in the admin. In rows, it uses the stylesheet_flexible_product_listing.css, but when I switch to columns it doesn't call that file. Is that related to SNAF?

Re: Snaf

Don't know.

SNAF was never written with flexible product listings in mind. So, I am not sure how the two work together.

Off the top off my head comment is that flexible listing is not really needed in grid view anyway. Or perhaps I am not understanding completely. What does that module actually do that would be valuable in grid view.

Re: Snaf

That's true, maybe I can uninstall that. Can SNAF do row views if I need to switch back to single rows in the future?

Re: Snaf

SNAF does rows or columns. For rows it uses the default Zen structure.

I think that what flexible listing does ( but don't hold me to this ) is just allow you to fiddle around a bit with the structure of the row view in zen. So, for instance put description and price in the same 'row cell'.

SNAF also lets the user change between rows and grid if they want to and that is enabled in admin.

In general, I'd say, if grid is your main display mode ten you do not really need Flexible Listing. But other people may correct me on that.

Re: Snaf

niccol:

It works fine on 1.5.1.

there is no problem with the zip file. I just downloaded it again. It is fine.

Hello, I would very much like to use SNAF, but I will be moving from 1.5.1 to 1.5.3 soon.

  1. I read that SNAF is for 1.5.1. Could you please tell me if SNAF will be or is 1.5.3 compatible?

  2. I do NOT want customers to be able to change to rows. Did I read that SNAF allows users to change listing style from columns to rows?

Thank you

DivaVocals:

That merging thing with winmerge is a stinker to learn! I cannot figure it out...

BUT...

I figured that I'd look at "Changed Files":

http://www.zen-cart.com/docs/changed_files-v1-5-3.html
http://www.zen-cart.com/docs/changed_files-v1-5-1.html

I'm good at overlooking things, and making mistakes, BUT I cannot see that ANY of the files that SNAF overwrites have changed since 1.5.0, and IF I'm correct, then really it should be listed as for 1.5.1 AND 1.5.3 too (or simply for 1.5.x)

am I correct on this?

Re: Snaf

I am trying to make a number of changes to the grid layout and need a hand figuring out some things..

Looking at the All Products listing here: http://tlwtestsite(dot)tablelegworld(dot)com/All-Table-Legs-And-Table-Leg-Accessories I want to make some changes that will allow me to control MORE of the layout using CSS. I want to get rid of the line breaks and add some other HTML tags.

For example, I want the following:

   <div class="centerBoxContentsProducts centeredContent back" style="width:32.5%;" scope="col" id="listCell1">
       <div class="innerColumn">
            <a class="product_listing_image_link"  href="http://tlwtestsite(dot)tablelegworld(dot)com/Cabinet-Height-Legs/Metal-Adjustable-Cabinet-Leveler/343-Metal-Cabinet-Leg-3-to-3-3-4-height-range-BOX-of-100-pieces">
                <img  src="bmz_cache/2/215812c7b68cc6dbe5ab86b90f6063dc.image.69x150.jpg"  alt="# 343 Metal Cabinet Leg, 3" to 3 3/4” height range, **BOX  of 100 pieces**" title=" # 343 Metal Cabinet Leg, 3" to 3 3/4”  height range, **BOX of 100 pieces** " width="69" height="150"  class="listingProductImage" />
           </a>
[B]           <br />[/B]
           <h3 class="itemTitle">
                <a  href="http://tlwtestsite(dot)tablelegworld(dot)com/Cabinet-Height-Legs/Metal-Adjustable-Cabinet-Leveler/343-Metal-Cabinet-Leg-3-to-3-3-4-height-range-BOX-of-100-pieces">
                   # 343 Metal Cabinet Leg, 3" to 3 3/4” height range, **BOX of 100 pieces**
               </a>
           </h3>
           <div class="listingDescription">
               #343 Metal Cabinet Leg, 3" to 3 3/4" adjustment,   Box of 100 pieces These...
           </div>
[B]           <br />[/B]
           $263.00
[B]           <br /><br />[/B]
           Add:
           <input type="text" name="products_id[422]" value="0" size="4" />
[B]           <br /><br />[/B]
       </div>
   </div>

To look like more this:

   <div class="centerBoxContentsProducts centeredContent back" style="width:32.5%;" scope="col" id="listCell1">
       <div class="innerColumn">
            <a class="product_listing_image_link"  href="http://tlwtestsite(dot)tablelegworld(dot)com/Cabinet-Height-Legs/Metal-Adjustable-Cabinet-Leveler/343-Metal-Cabinet-Leg-3-to-3-3-4-height-range-BOX-of-100-pieces">
                <img  src="bmz_cache/2/215812c7b68cc6dbe5ab86b90f6063dc.image.69x150.jpg"  alt="# 343 Metal Cabinet Leg, 3" to 3 3/4” height range, **BOX  of 100 pieces**" title=" # 343 Metal Cabinet Leg, 3" to 3 3/4”  height range, **BOX of 100 pieces** " width="69" height="150"  class="listingProductImage" />
           </a>
           <br />
           <h3 class="itemTitle">
                <a  href="http://tlwtestsite(dot)tablelegworld(dot)com/Cabinet-Height-Legs/Metal-Adjustable-Cabinet-Leveler/343-Metal-Cabinet-Leg-3-to-3-3-4-height-range-BOX-of-100-pieces">
                   # 343 Metal Cabinet Leg, 3" to 3 3/4” height range, **BOX of 100 pieces**
               </a>
           </h3>
           <div class="listingDescription">
               #343 Metal Cabinet Leg, 3" to 3 3/4" adjustment,   Box of 100 pieces These...
           </div>
           <div class="listingPrice">
               $263.00
           </div>
           <label class="listingLabel">
               Add:
           </label>
           <input type="text" name="products_id[422]" value="0" size="4" />
       </div>
   </div>

I have been through the **includes/modules/custom_template/product_listing.php **file, and I am not seeing CLEARLY how to make some of these changes I'd like to make.. I removed many of the line breaks from the code I found and I modified the following section to add a label to the "Add:" text next to the quantity field.
So this code:

$link =   TEXT_PRODUCT_ALL_LISTING_MULTIPLE_ADD_TO_CART . "<input  type=\"text\" name=\"products_id[" .  $products_all->fields['products_id'] . "]\" value=\"0\" size=\"4\"  />";

Became this:

$link = '<label class="listingLabel">' .  TEXT_PRODUCT_ALL_LISTING_MULTIPLE_ADD_TO_CART . "</label><input  type=\"text\" name=\"products_id[" .  $products_all->fields['products_id'] . "]\" value=\"0\" size=\"4\"  />";

But on the listing page NOTHING changed.. What in the Sam Hill am I missing here????

Re: Snaf

Diva,

Yeah, finding all the <br/> can be fun. One way around that if you need none of them and are applying other css is just to set all of the br inside .innerColumn to display:none

so something like:

.innerColumn br{
display:none;
}

Then you might have to set some of the the other elements to display:block or display:inline-block depending on what you want.

Otherwise send me an email and we will work our way through it.

Re: Snaf

@stiggybaby

I think that it should work on 1.5.3 but to be honest I haven't checked it. Off the top of my head I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't. When I get a moment I'll have a look though it all and see if there is anything that will break on 1.5.3.

I am actually using it on a 1.5.3 site in development without issues so I guess that my gut feeling is correct.

So, yes, it probably should be marked differently and will be when I find time to go through it. Or someone else can test it and re-upload it with new description.

Yep adding that to the stylesheet does the trick, but since price, and the "Add:" label have no element to them I can't style with CSS so I end up with a bob of stuff lol..

I'll shoot you over an email.. :)

Well after a LOT of experimentation I still can't figure out how to GET RID OF the <br />'s or add the <label> tag to the listing module file or WHATEVER files I need to modify.. But I was able to add the <label> tag to the "Add:" text by adding the tag to the language definition..

includes/languages/YOUR_TEMPLATE/english.php (around line #554)

  define('TEXT_PRODUCT_LISTING_MULTIPLE_ADD_TO_CART', '<label class="listingLabel">Add:</label> ');

NOT my ideal way to do this, but for now I'll live with it...

Adding this to the stylesheet

.innerColumn br {
    margin-top: 0;
    display: block;
}

Solves my issue with the line breaks.. Again, NOT my ideal way to do this.. I would rather add the <div>'s I need to the listing module file or WHATEVER files I need to modify and use CSS to position/format.. But it will do for right now.. (I think...:laugh:)
