How do i remove these banners, footnotes, and Nav's?

Hey, i just started with Zencart, and i am trying to work with a blank page, but i cant find out how to remove the left over codes on my page:

to answer your question though look in your admin/tools/banner manager, click the green dots to make them red then refresh the page of your shop front, you will see the banner has gone. You can of course create your own banners to use as you wish, the ones you currently have are all just samples.

all banners are already set to red.

ok so be a bit more specific about what you have done/want doing as now all I see from your link is a successful installation of ZC message and footer links to ZC. Have you edited your stylesheets?

under tools/Define Pages Editor/ i cleared all the codes on those pages. i deleted all products, im basically trying to clear out everything and work with a blank stylesheet. then just use all the frameworks that i have on my website.

have you installed just the zc files (the content of the zc folder) or did you upload the containing folder with the files inside it?

or yoursite.com/the-1.5-folder/all-the-zc-files

It's a bad idea to delete the Zen Cart stylesheet completely. You can't just apply your main site stylesheet, as its rules will be meaningless to Zen Cart's pages.
What you need to do is take all of your main site style rules and apply their property declarations to the appropriate Zen Cart equivalent elements.

And before you start doing anything, do not use the /classic/ folders for your custom template; create a new template following the instructions in the tutorials, and apply your customizations to that. All /classic/ files will be erased and replaced when you next upgrade to a new version.

picandnix - There is a complete ZC installation there, but with no stylesheet whatsoever.

The OP currently has a rudimentary shop in another subfolder.

aha as you guys can see, im quite lost.

basically you need to start by replacing the stylesheet you deleted before you can do much else.

You might want to start with a copy of the /template_default/css/ stylesheet (note: it will give a very "colorful" page when you first install it:) rather than undoing some of the /classic/ customizations before adding your own.

Thanks for the help, i restored everything that came with the install, i made my own template, but i still see a few things that i cannot get rid of

It looks like you have used the previous configure.php files in your "restoration", or somehow messed them up, and links are pointing to /shop/ instead of /zen-cart-v150-full-release-12302011/. Anyway, this /zen-cart-v150-full-release-12302011/ is a bad foldername to use for a live site. You should rename the folder to something simple like /shop/ before running the install.

You can delete text in a define, but do not ever delete a whole define - that will just make the page messier.

can be

but not
define('HEADING_TITLE', );

i should just restart, shouldnt i, aha. when i added the Zip to my cPanel, and extracted it, it automatically made the name /zen-cart-v150-full-release-12302011 i wanted to make it /shop but the page wouldnt open unless it was named /zen-cart-v150-full-release-12302011

Well, you need to do something because, as of right now, anybody can click that link and begin installing Zen Cart.

Just because the package unzips by default to that foldername doesn't mean you have to leave it like that. Go into cPanel and change /zen-cart-v150-full-release-12302011/ to /shop/ before you run zc_install. If you have tried to do this and gotten an error or "not allowed" message, there is probably some setting your host has that is preventing it, and you need to ask the ones who know how your server is set up.

Head RescoCCC's warning as right now any man and his dog can reinstall/overwrite your install...
