Hide the images for document type product in the listing page?

Hello,

Since for document type products, most of them don't have product images in my case, is there a way (even through coding or a quick hack) to hide all the images in the category listing page? (like: index.php?main_page=index&cPath=xx) Otherwise, most of the impages will be the default "no picture" image, and looks really odd.

Thanks!

Re: Hide the images for document type product in the listing page?

Maybe let me explain a little bit what I mean here:

For the standard document type catelog listing page, there are columns of:
column 1) product image,
column 2) product title plust the first x chars of the product description,
column 3) the see more info link

For document type products, I don't want the first column which contains image. Is that possible to do so?

Re: Hide the images for document type product in the listing page?

But what if your category contains other products which do have images associated with them? If you remove the column, then shoppers will have less information to go on, and their shopping experience will be less optimal.

Would it be suitable to give those document items an image that looks like a "document" or a "page" or something that reflects the kind of document/article you've got on that page? Just assign that image to those specific products, and the system will continue to work normally.
