Link to Add Product ID to Cart

All,

I am running a fresh install of ZC1.5 with template241 from template13. We have a nice basic framework with a few image customizations. We have developed our product images and entered a few products. The site will be used to sell off discontinued fabrics from our furniture manufacturing company. Things are running well.

We would like to offer $1/free shipping swatches to our customers. To do this we would like to insert a link (button, perhaps) within each listed product on the product list page, (category and all products) which would add a swatch (probably a 'free shipping' product type) directly to the visitors cart.

I have considered trying to use available 'cross sell' mods but either they want to link to and open another product page, are really obtrusive, or are not compatible with ZC1.5.

Any helpful communication is appreciated!

In the absence of any responses I patched together a solution using an (unsupported for version 1.50) cross-sell add-on and some painfully difficult code changes. :lookaroun

Glad you got it working:) As you said "painfully difficult", probably nobody had enough of an idea for a workable approach without digging into it to be able to offer useful advice. I think I started typing a reply based on attributes, but it either turned out to be a dead end, or I lost the text before posting some night.
