admin password woes

Hi,

I am using Zencart 1.5. went straight to 1.5 no upgrades.

I forgot my admin password. Have no alternative account. I requested a password reset and the reset email never came. In the meanwhile I found my admin password. tried it, didn't work, tried again ect. Got a security error message & email saying I must wait 30 min because the account has been locked. Waited. tried logging in again no luck.

I have read the FAQ article and tried to enter a temporary password the DB but I get an error saying - Unknown column 'admin_level' in 'field list' .

Now I have no clue what to do. I have not really done anything else to the DB since I a new to Zen CArt.

When I setup the DB I was asked to put admin username & password - this I still have and it's different to the Zen Cart one. Not sure if this info is useful.

I hope someone can assist.

Re: admin password woes

Read the tutorial again. You're using the SQL patch for 1.3.9. You want the one above it for 1.5.

Re: admin password woes

I'm having what may be a similar problem. Am in process of upgrading and am as far as having imported data from 1.3.9 store to the new DB and upgrading the DB through zc_install.

The admin password was not working so requested and received RESET email. After replacing the temporary password, the admin username and new password just return the blank page.

I can see the admin info with encrypted pwd in the sql table.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Mike

Re: admin password woes

Working next day. Probably a cache or cookie issue. Thanks much DrByte.
