Editing Download in a customer's order

Is there a way I can add a download to a customer's account either as a free file as a thank you or because the customer actually chose the wrong format of the download?

For example, I have downloadable embroidery files. My customer chose format JEF instead of PES. I would like to add the PES file for her and delete the JEF file.

Thanks for any help!

Re: Editing Download in a customer's order

There's no built-in feature for editing existing orders in v1.xx.
And similarly there's no built-in feature for adding additional downloads to "customers", since downloads are always assigned to "products" within "orders".

A workaround could be to give the customer a coupon for a free product, and have her re-buy the correct one.

Thank you, DrByte! Coupon is a good idea.
