Stalker hacked?

Without going into a lot of drama....I've been dealing with a stalker and some very passive aggressive people with small town minds.

They usually keep clear, but lately they have been going out of their way to find me....with big smiles on their faces.

This started about a week ago.

My sales are 24-7, there isn't an hour out of the day that I don't normally get orders.

Concern....

It appears that my site is being shut down in blocks. I'll get absolutely no orders for 12-15 hours at a time. Then, like a switch is flipped on....I'll get a half dozen. Off again for another 12 hours. Traffic seems about the same in terms of hits...so something isn't right.

Is there some way for one with skills to get into the backend or database to make this happen?

Sorry...I know it sounds paranoid....but paranoia is healthy when jealous small town ##############s don't have anything better to do than meth and mess with my business.

I'll take that as a no? Don't know? Kind of concerned, recent activity is not typical at all.

Sorry to hear about your personal issues and their apparent connection to problems with your store. However, there's nothing we can do about your store's unexplained occasional silence.

You should be tracing the problem with your hosting company to see whether there is some sort of attack happening at your store during those times, such as something which would prevent normal operation. Further, your hosting service should have logs of activity which can show you what sort of traffic is taking place on your site at all hours of the day. Further still, if you've engaged something like Google Analytics or other tracking systems you might be able to get a bigger picture of what's happening.

If your own investigation reveals something fraudulent or illegal taking place, then you need to contact the appropriate authorities for assistance.

If your site is up-to-date running the most recent version of the software then all known possible security holes are plugged.

Pops always told me to stay away from the crazy ladies. Should have listened a bit closer.

Come to think of it...he told me to never fall in love with a car. Didn't listen there either.

Thought I'd pop my head back in to say thanks for the google suggestion. It looked like a major PITA to install, but there was a good user-plugin here.

Installed it last night. Interesting.....they don't share IP, but it's in my logs...just gotta match times.

You can delete this if you like, appreciate the thoughts.
