Cannot get USPS shipping module to calculate correctly, what am I missing?

Hey everyone.

I am having trouble with the USPS shipping module. I have upgraded for the Jan 2012 update (removed and installed again), I am using 1.39v, I have the module set in production mode, verified with USPS that it is in production mode and that it is calling to the correct shipping calculations.

I have edited an item in my store to weigh .375 lbs. Now, shipping from california to Florida is $74. I already verified with USPS that is incorrect and was told to contact Zen-Cart.

Does anyone know what is going on or what I need to change? How do I calculate my shipping weight if it calls for lbs from USPS. What am I doing wrong??? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Check your settings in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... and see what your Tare Rates are and your Maximum Shipping ...

To not add additional Tare Rate use 0:0 ...

The default Maximum weight is 50 ...
